Frequently Asked Questions
What file format should my logo be for signs?
Generally JPEGS aren't suitable for enlarging to size. The file format we require are EPS or AI. Sometimes we can use PDF's if they are high quality or a vector PDF. If you only have a JPEG, our graphic designers can recreate it for you from $45 including gst.

How long will my sign last for?
Vinyl cut: Up to 7 years depending on the location
Digital prints: Up to 2-3 years. Plus liquid laminate will extend it up to 18 months. a
Vehical Signage:

What DPI should my image be to ensure the best quality print?
Every time you enlarge an image, its quailty decreases each time.

If the DPI of an image is too low, this results in
- a loss of sharpness.
- Images also get a 'pixelated' look.
- Straight lines will show a staircasing effect.

Too much information may sound as if it is harmless but that is not true:
- Your file will be bloated, taking up more storage space, time to print or time to transmit
- Images can lose a bit of sharpness.

The distance from which your graphic will be viewed determines the DPI required:
- If it will be viewed at close range, you will need a higher DPI
- If it will be seen from a distance, a lower DPI image may give you all the resolution you need, saving time and money

Veiwing Distance
0.2m-2m - 300dpi
2-3m - 150dpi
10-20m - 72-100dpi
